Jeff Morrow has been influenced by some of the 19th century artists and the best of today’s masters. A ful- time artist since 2006, he primarily focuses on portraiture, sporting art and urban scenes. Morrow gained an aesthetic education during his 28-year career as a commercial photographer and video producer. He describes his style as painterly realism. Though rooted in the classic tradition, his style is contemporary in spirit. Although the goal of a successful portrait is to create a good likeness and capture the essence of the subject, Morrow works to create paintings that are pleasing on their own merit. He strives to create paintings that convey a sense of the moment and that bring out the beauty in everyday scenes. He hopes his work will stand the test of time and be treasured by future generations.
