Grant V Hesser on how he started painting oil on canvas about 14 years ago. “The only painting training I had prior to that was my high school art class. I always had an interest in viewing oil paintings in museums, galleries, Final Friday, etc. and collected local artists works. I have been able to find some time to take painting workshops/classes from various artists in the evenings and on weekends. I am a Signature member of the Cincinnati Art Club [CAC] and all of my completed oil paintings have been through at least one CAC critique! I have had several father/son art shows over the past several years and have been fortunate to be accepted into several juried art competitions.”
